Track information. The extension reads the visible video title, artist or channel, duration, and playback time. It uses this information to identify the song and synchronize lyrics.

Lyrics and transformations. When you explicitly request translation or romanization, Lyner processes the lyrics, song title, artist, and requested operation.

Optional account information. If you request enhanced access, Lyner processes your email address, a random installation identifier, browser label, approval state, and an opaque device token.

Security and usage information. The service records transformation type and time for rate limiting. It stores HMAC-hashed IP fingerprints—not raw IP addresses—to identify account sharing and enforce the five-IP limit.

For lyric lookup, track information is sent over HTTPS to LRCLIB, lyrics.ovh, and Genius until a suitable result is found.

Optional account and transformation requests are sent over HTTPS to Lyner's API hosted by Vercel. Account records are stored in Neon Postgres. Approved transformation requests are processed through OpenAI's API. These services may receive standard network information such as an IP address under their own privacy terms.

Lyner does not sell personal information, use it for advertising, or share it for unrelated purposes.

Settings, timing corrections, cached lyrics, email access state, and the device token are stored locally in browser extension storage. Cached transformation results are limited to the most recent 60 entries.

The Lyner service retains account, session, usage, and hashed IP-fingerprint records while the access account exists or as needed for security and abuse prevention. Raw device tokens are never stored in the database. Lyrics are not intentionally stored in Lyner's database.

• You can disable Lyner at any time from its toolbar menu.
• Translation and romanization happen only after you choose those actions.
• Providing an email and requesting enhanced access is optional.
• You can sign out a device from Lyner settings and revoke local access.
• You can uninstall the extension to remove its locally stored data.
• You can request access to or deletion of server-side account data through the support contact on Lyner's store listing.

Lyner uses HTTPS, server-held service credentials, hashed device tokens, short administrative sessions, rate limits, and hashed IP fingerprints. No security measure is perfect, but access is limited to the data and operations needed for Lyner's stated purpose.

Information received through browser APIs is used only to provide and improve Lyner's single-purpose lyrics functionality, maintain security, and comply with law. It is not used for personalized advertising, credit decisions, or unrelated human review.

This policy may be updated when Lyner's functionality or legal obligations change. Material changes will be reflected here and in the applicable extension-store disclosures. Privacy questions and deletion requests can be sent through the publisher support contact displayed on the Chrome Web Store or Firefox Add-ons listing.
